Liat Aaronson

Chairperson

Liat is an investor and venture builder focused on developing the next generation of founders, with a career spanning mergers and acquisitions, entrepreneurship education, venture capital and high-growth operating roles.

Much of her work today centers on entrepreneurship education and early-stage investing. She chairs the Zell Entrepreneurship Program at Reichman University — which she previously led as Executive Director — where recent graduates immerse themselves in building companies, many of which have gone on to launch successfully. She also serves as Managing Director of the ZEP Fund, which invests in alumni companies.

Earlier, she co-foundedHLV, a strategic advisory firm in the Web3 space that grew out of Horizen Labs— the blockchain technology company she co-founded and where she served as COO from inception until 2022. She and her partner have since handed HLV clients over to its team, who carry the work forward today as Ventari (ventari.io), a token launch advisory firm.

Before Web3, Liat was COO of Selina, a fast-growing startup in the hospitality sector, and prior to that an Investment Partner at Marker LLC, a venture capital firm focused on theIsrael and New York markets. Her early career was in mergers and acquisitions and new ventures, and she has been a member of the Israel Bar Association since 1999.

Her academic background includes a B.A. in Political Economy of Industrial Societies (economics and political science, cum laude) from UC Berkeley, an LL.B. and MBA from Tel AvivUniversity, and an LL.M. in European Law from the University of Leiden, the Netherlands (cum laude).

Liat also serves on a number of boards and advisory bodies. She is a director at Radcom, aNasdaq-listed company, and a member of the General Assembly at ReichmanUniversity, as well as its Friends of Reichman University advisory board. Her other roles include board and advisory positions with Endless AI and the IsraelDemocracy Institute, and she helps guide and oversee programs such as SPARC,the Sheba Hospital Entrepreneurship School, and I-Fair, an Israel–Nigeria entrepreneurship program — fostering entrepreneurship both locally and internationally.
