Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Team Lead to join our R&D team in developing the new rising product in the health landscape. As a Team Lead at Lumen, you will lead a team of multi-functional developers (mobile, backend) and together you’ll own and impact a significant part of the Lumen product. Our ideal candidate has real passion for empowering people, has great communication skills and loves to constantly improve themselves and our working practices. Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of developers in a multi-functional squad through the product life cycle - architecture, design, development, quality, and production
  • Hands-on development and own features in the core product
  • Grow, coach, and become a personal & technical mentor for the team members
  • Strive to continuously improve work methods, delivery, and quality together with the team
  • Work with product managers, data scientists and other developers to understand the desired requirements and impact the features we develop What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in team-building and managing people
  • Passion for mentoring and helping people on your team grow and achieve their goals
  • Prior experience with recruiting and building a high-performance team
  • Hands-on experience in one of the following: Server-side development in Java/Kotlin/Scala; OR Mobile development in native iOS or Android or Flutter
  • Strong system architecture experience and design pattern skills
  • Familiar with agile software development practices Team player, strong communication skills, empathetic
  • Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent practical experience - advantage
  • Knowledge or interest in nutrition/metabolism/health - advantage
