Global, Lifelong Community
ZGEN brings together an international community of exceptional entrepreneurs, operators, and innovators. It’s made up of individuals who have navigated the highs and lows of building something from the ground up, supporting one another along the way. At its core, ZGEN is a living, breathing extension of the Zell Program’s ethos, built on real relationships, hands-on experience, and long-term support across borders and industries.
Curated Events
ZGEN hosts events across key cities worldwide, creating intentional spaces for alumni to reconnect, collaborate, and spark new ideas. These are not typical mixers but curated experiences that strengthen the fabric of the network.
A Culture of Giving Back
Alumni return as mentors, investors, and speakers, driven by a shared belief in the program’s mission. The network thrives on a spirit of support and paying it forward.

Sam Zell
Sam was a visionary and macro strategist for a broad network of companies. For more than 50 years, he identified and applied fundamental principles that transcend industries, geographies, and economies. Sam founded or built hundreds of companies and created thousands of jobs.
Instead of donating buildings, Sam wanted to invest in people. These programs are a manifestation of his vision.
